Car Modelling idea

For the next project we are designing a real life car then we have to modify it and make it futuristic with any type of flying capability.

My Chosen Car
I have decided to do the Audi TT, I have chosen this car as it has always been my favourite car since i very first saw it.

I think this will be a good car to model as the design is very smooth and slick in design. I'm looking forward to making this and designing my future car as well.

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5

Although nothing to do with the course I thought that I'd share the emblem I created for our "crew"

It was fun (well most of the time) creating this with only using generic shapes and figuring out how to get the final picture with these shapes.

I am really enjoying playing this game online with some of my fellow course members who are also members of the SWAT crew.

I won't bother explaining the game to you because whether you're a casual gamer, an avid gamer or a disapprooving parent you will have heard about GTA and all the things you can do within the game.

If you haven't picked the game up yet I can understand why, like yourself I wasn't really bothered nor looking forward to this game as much as some people were. I wasn't too impressed with the last installment of the franchise and thought the game was getting stale and lacking ideas.

However this time round there is so much to do and the developers seem to have put more attention into the online part of the game which I am grateful for, whether it's doing missions with your friends, playing activities such as tennis or golf with them, going around in vehicles like tanks and choppers or jumping off the tallest building and parachuting down you will certainly not get bored with this game quickly.

My First Post

Hello and welcome to my Blog. My name is David Harding, over the next 3 years I will be studying BA Game Art at St. Helens College. The first Module is designing a room, I have decided to do a room based on the Titanic.

I like the design of this fireplace and will try and replicate this in my room
I like the intricacy of the lights and will use this as a template, I don't think I will reproduce them exactly but will use certain aspects of them.
The windows and curtains will be used as my light source within my room.

The couch in the left hand corner is another asset I will try to replicate in my room as best as I can.
Although not in the room the border which that surrounds the door is very interesting and I will use this in my room around my doors.
As one of the more memorable parts of the film i will also reproduce the couch.
I like the doors and designs in these pictures. The wooden paneling and wallpaper is also something I will be reproducing in in my room. I will be using my own wallpaper that I will source from the real world. In the bottom picture you can see that the the room has carpets, as with the wallpaper i will also source this material from the real world.

Graffiti style name using 3DS Max

After seeing a video on YouTube I decided to try my hand in following it, here is my result,

I decide to write my name in a 3D graffiti style using 3DS Max.

I really enjoyed doing this and learned a lot from it as I am getting to grips with this basics of using this software. I have bent the letters to create interesting angles with the 3D letters, I really enjoyed manipulating the letters to get the effects that i desired to create interesting reflections and shadows while still making it look realistic.
